Help me with my new horse pleaseeee!!!?
My new horse has a bit of a rearing problem. Whenever i try to bridle her she throws her head up and rears. I had the vet and dentist come look at her and they said she is sound. I use an d-ring snaffle bit on her and they people that had her before me use a gag bit of some sort and they said she was horrible to ride. I have ridden her in just a halter with lead ropes and a hackamore. Once i get the bridle on her she is fine its just getting the bridle on. Any helpful advise????
try putting sugar or sweet feed on the moistened bit , don't try to put it on her at first, let her lick the sugar/feed off it, if she should get it in her mouth far enough go ahead and try to put it on. Once she finds out the bit will not hurt her she will be more at ease but the treats will help too
