two q's- one about my saddle and one on my headstall?
Ok so i just bought a new saddle- its an hh barrel saddle and it has some really light leather and kind of fuzzy (?) leather on it. What can i use to clean it, the leather is VERY light and not smooth and glossy like most leather (although it has some of normal leather too), how can i make sure i won't wreak the light and kind of fuzzy (?) leather, what is a good saddle cleaner to use for it. It is brand new so it really needs to be oiled, but im just not sure what to oil it with.
The other q is about my headstall. It is a western one eared headstall- except it has two ear places- but i bought it and i didn't notice it at fist, but it doesn't have a throat latch, is it supposed to have one??

That "fuzzy" leather is called "roughout leather". You can clean the smooth underside of it, but you simply just use a brass metal bristled brush and "brush" the nap of the roughout.
As for your headstall, you can either use one or both of the ear pieces. If you use just one, it goes on the RIGHT ear, FYI.
