Bitless Bosal for Horses?
I am looking into purchasing a bridle rope hackamore for my quarter horse mare. She is a bucker and tosses her head alot so, I am hoping this will calm her nerves some. Has anyone used these and if so what should I expect. The link is showing an example of one I maybe purchasing. Thanks

First, this does not qualify as a bosal. It is a rope hackmore. And since a hackamore exerts pressure on the nose and jaw, unless you have a lot a know in using one, I would pass. No bridle or hackamore will not cure bucking and head tossing. Time and training do that. Tired horses who are getting worked everyday stop this sort of foolishness, not buying different bridles and bits. What it sounds like is that she is overfed, under worked and spoiled. I have a gelding who was also a head tosser when he thought he had worked enough. After ruling out anything medical, I decided that he was testing the waters to see what he could get by with. The more he tossed his head, the harder he got rode. After about a week of being treated like the barn stepchild, he decided it was way easier to behave. Has not tossed his head since.
