What should I do about this?
I was going to buy a Leather Show halter with lots of silver for 14.99 on ebay. (i know, crazy deal, and the woman found my add on craigslist asking for a show halter at a good deal and said she was going really cheap because she needed to get rid of them.) Well, I bid on one and I won, but now she e mailed me saying,
"On previous letter I indicated wrong amount due. Total due is $25.34, sorry for the mistake."
I dont want to pay that much more money for it because she told me that she would deliver it to me so I can save on shipping. I feel really cheated. Should I still buy it or buy a different oen that comes with a lead but has less "Glitz"?
I'd tell her to stuff it! People try scams like that all the time, claiming it was a typo or other woopsie and attempting to squeeze money from you. If she made a mistake that's a wee shame but it's not your problem, you bid in good faith; she can either honour your agreement and sell it to you for that price, or she can back out and you can leave appropriate ebay feedback.
She's probably very miffed that someone didn't try to outbid you (pushing the price up) but that's not your problem either. Don't give her a penny more!
