crupper on western saddle?
Hey!
I'm looking forward to buy a 'silver hip drop' crupper to put on my show saddle.
Picture here: (look for the hip drops there)

But it doesnt seem to have a hole or a bar on a regular western saddle to attach a crupper. I saw some western saddles with a crupper on some image but it's not showing in details how it's done.
Plz tell me how to do that. And like I said, it's a show saddle so i dont wanna mess it too much 
And attaching the crupper on the saddle pad is not a good idea cauz the pad will not stay in place.

Its not a crupper to hold the saddle in place hahah! i'm not gonna hit the trails with it! but look at the picture and see how good it looks! its only a DECORATION with a lot of shining silver on it to make the horse look prettier

in all likelyhood that crupper was designed to work with a v style of straps. The strap on the crupper went thru a D ring. and off of the D can two more straps to hook to the rear rigging rings of the saddle.
If your using the thing for show and not to really hold the saddle in place, you could alternately use a nylon strap. the strap goes around the horn, under the gullet and the crupper buckles to it heres a site that shows the V style rig http://www.western-saddle-guide.com/crupper.html
